Maggie, the town cat is busy “helping” do research at the Town Clerk’s office!
Maggie is the fourth “official” town cat. The first was Buddy, who came on board in the 1990s, a tradition started by Tim Corcoran, who served as the Bennington Town Clerk from 1995 to 2014. Our current Town Clerk is Cassandra Barbeau who took over from Tim.
The Bennington Town Clerk is the keeper of all our town records dating back to 1762. The public is always welcome to view town records during regular business hours, and Maggie is ready to help
